John Tummers joined Hatch as General Counsel in 1991. He was nominated to the Hatch Board of Directors as Secretary in 1999. As a senior legal officer with more than 20 years of legal experience, Mr. Tummers is responsible for the global provision of legal services and for professional risk management and insurance.
Mr. Tummers is a graduate of the University of Waterloo where he holds a B.Sc. Applied Science (Civil Engineering), Queen’s University where he received his Bachelor of Laws and Osgoode Hall where he completed his Bar Admission Course.
Professional affiliations include the Canadian Corporate Counsel Association as a Finance Committee member and past Chair of the Canadian Corporate Counsel Association; the American Bar Association; the International Bar Association and Director of the Peel Region Science Fair.
