Robert Francki began at Hatch in 1986, where in 2003 he was appointed Global Managing Director, Light Metals then Global Managing Director, Special Projects in 2007. Mr. Francki was elected to the Hatch Board of Directors in 2005. He is a graduate of Queen’s University where he holds a Honours B.Sc. in Mechanical Engineering and Stanford University’s Stanford Executive Program.
As author and co-author of many technical papers, Mr. Francki’s experience includes international expertise in the development and management of engineering services relating to client relations, technical oversight, and project control; substantial involvement in the implementation of quality methodologies to improve project delivery; and extensive smelter and furnace design experience.
Professional affiliations include the Professional Engineers of Ontario, the Canadian Institute of Mining, Metallurgy and Petroleum (CIM), the Minerals, Metals and Materials Society (TMS), and the South African Institute of Mining and Metallurgy (SAIMM).
