The Volta River Authority of Ghana asked Hatch for an optimum operations strategy for their large Akosombo and Kpong hydro-generating stations, and for the provision of software tools to execute the strategy.
VRA supplies the West African Power Pool with a hydrothermal mix of generating resources. VRA ensures reliable delivery of power and energy to the pool at the least cost.
Hatch will supply its proprietary Vista DSS™ software modules to VRA, and integrate them with the VRA databases, which in turn will provide increased efficiencies in VRA’s hydroelectric production.
