Abstract
Algoma Steel's No. 2 Basic Oxygen Steel Plant (#2 BOSP) has been recently retrofitted with a
secondary emission control system to collect airborne emissions that occur during charging and tapping of the shop's two 250 ton basic oxygen furnaces. As a result, the air quality within the shop has improved, and fugitive emissions from the rooftop have been virtually eliminated.
