Abstract
With intelligent use of historian data, new process control strategies can be developed and implemented with minimal risks. In most applications, these improved controls strategies can save millions, have payback periods of 3 months or less, and an execution time (development to implementation) of 6 months or less.
This paper presents two successful methods to refine the control strategy and achieve the saving:
- Dynamic process and control modelling
- Soft sensors implementation
