Abstract
First of all I will consider some of the interesting aspects of Asian diversity and of the
scale of the steel industry in the region. Next illustrate the challenges European steel companies have faced and will increasingly face as they seek to exploit the region’s future developments. Lastly, I will look for pointers to the future in analysis of developments in the region.
