Abstract
From this review, the authors will comment on some of the principal successes and failures of industry restructuring in the 1990s, discussing some of the main lessons learnt and some of the challenges ahead. It is hoped that these views will be of interest to all stakeholders concerned with the future success of the industry in this region, and particularly to those members of the audience who will be involved in its restructuring during the next decade.
